Story of a Flamboyant Muslim boy Salman Khan,who impersonates a Hindu priest Giridhari Purohit in order to get close with his maternal uncle Abhinash Raichoudhary who banished his younger sister and Salmans mother Saraswati after love marriage to Mr.Khan and into a Muslim family for cultural differences and conservative societys pressure . Salman Tries to heal bonds between the two families. In the meanwhile he falls in love with Ganga the adopted daughter of his maternal uncle and match became an item with the help of the handmaid Lalita who was no less than a daughter in the family. The Raichoudhary Familys arched nemesis the Mardharaj brothers tries to create commotion but both Khan and Raichoudhary family come together to fight the villain brothers.
